My Activity Tracking

My target 82 kms

I'm fundraising for The Children’s Hospital Charity who saved my little boy’s life!

I can bearly contain my excitment to be taking part in the Bears of Sheffield Bearathon this summer!

The Sheffield Children’s put it arms around our family when we needed them. The treatment Finn received saved his life. The emotional support and care for Vic and I kept is going through many dark hours. It’s time to give back what ever we can.

Thank you for your support!

1st walk.

Our first walk!

Monday 26th Jul
Hi all,

We started our fundraising month today with a costal walk in Cornwall. We tried to plan it around a nap for Finn but he was engrossed by the scenery and didn’t drop off. 🤣

Please share and raise awareness. We want to raise as much money as possible for SCH.

It was a gorgeous day in Cornwall today and we could have walked for miles but Finn needed a nap which curtailed it. We had a celebratory Korev and Rattler to celebrate the start of this really important cause.

Finn’s joining in!

Thursday 15th Jul
Finn will be with us every step. Just riding in style!

Why am I doing this?

Thursday 15th Jul

In February 2021 our lives changed forever when our beautiful boy Finley was diagnosed with a large Wilms tumour on one of his kidneys.

Since then, he has undergone twelve rounds of chemotherapy, three lots of surgery, four MRI scans and two lengthy hospital stays alongside various others types of treatment and care.

We have recently been given the amazing news that Finley is now clear and has moved to follow up scans every three months.

We are so incredibly lucky to have the Sheffield Children's Hospital on our doorstep. We will never be able to fully repay the staff for the outstanding care and treatment they have provided for our baby, but by completing the Bearathon, we hope to help raise the much needed funds to support the renovation of their cancer ward.

So for one month, I will walk or run 2.75km every day, starting from 26th July - hopefully spotting some of the bears on my way!

To find out more about the bears please watch:

The staff at the Children's have saved my boy's life, it's now my turn to give something back so every donation will be hugely appreciated!

Thank you!
