Why I'm jumping out of a plane?

Wednesday 14th Feb
I have been lucky enough to be employed by The Sheffield Children's Hospital for over 11 years in the 0-19 Service - Health Visiting, as a Health Visitor and more recently a Specialist Vulnerabilities Practitioner. My role involves delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, supporting families with enhanced needs and supporting practitioners with complex safeguarding. 

My team and I are privileged to see families with children under 5 in their own homes. As well as delivering Public Health advice, we aim to deliver  holistic child centred care with a whole family approach,  supporting children's physical, social and emotional development, children with disabilities and life long or life limiting conditions. 

The Sheffield Children's Hospital excels at delivering  joined up care between hospital and community settings, to meet the needs of children within Sheffield and further afield. I cannot think of a better charity to raise funds for. 

I am a born and bred Sheffield girl, and live in Sheffield with my husband,  2 children and our dog Ted. I'm not sure jumping from an aeroplane at 15,000ft was on the top of my life goals but I'll give it a go. As my 9 year old says "What's the worst that can happen"😬
