I'm fundraising for The Children’s Hospital Charity!
I'm taking on Team Theo's Glow in the Park to raise money for Sheffield Children's Hospital.
Following Emily's diagnosis of scoliosis in May 2023, she was immediately under the care of the amazing staff at Sheffield Children's Hospital. Having discovered the extent of the curve in her spine, she was told that bracing was the best (only) option to try to correct it. She opted to take part in a clinical trial to support their research into better bracing methods and was incredibly well cared for over the next 18 or so months.
Unfortunately her scoliosis progressed to a stage where an operation was the only option, and she underwent spinal surgery in March this year. The care she received was amazing and she walked out of SCH 3 days later to start her recovery. We're so grateful for the support we received from the hospital. We're doing this fundraiser to raise some cash for a brilliant organisation and to say thanks for everything.
We're really looking forward to taking part in this 5k, glow in the dark walk (jog?!) through Endcliffe Park next month. Please support our fundraising if you can....every penny makes a difference.
