Quinn’s story
Sunday 9th Nov In February last year Quinn started to complain about back pain. A little calpol and we thought he had pulled a muscle. However over the following weeks this got progressively worse and Quinn was in extreme pain . Multiple scans , bloods , hospital admissions we were told Quinn had a slipped disc which was puzzling . We were also told it could be an infection in his spine , however there wasn’t enough evidence to start the invasive treatment . Fast forward another few weeks of extreme pain , more scans, A and E visits Quinn was diagnosed with discitis- a spinal infection which is in children. Our consultant had only seen 2 cases in Quinn’s age.Thank you to my Sponsors
