My Updates

Last day !!!!!!!!

Monday 24th Aug
Alex finished his walk today!!!!!!!
106 miles. I am so so proud of him. At the end of his walk he was treated to a design your own pizza, with trimmings and pudding. He has amazed me that despite being in pain he wanted to get the end. He has raised an incrediable £1, 316 for Sheffield childrens. Thanks so much to all the lovely people who donated and supported him with words.

Day 25

Friday 21st Aug
Alex was supported on todays walk by lovely friends. We all walked 5 miles round woods and our local area. Only 5 miles left now till he finishes.

Day 24

Thursday 20th Aug
Alex walked 5 miles today and got an icecream from a farm shop in the next villiage up from us. 10 miles left now.

Day 23

Wednesday 19th Aug
Alex did 2 miles this morning. As he said "mum its going to rain most of the day but we need to round it off to 15 miles and I'm sore today". So 15 miles to go

Day 22

Tuesday 18th Aug
Alex did 2 miles this morning and 3 miles this afternoon. So another 5 done. 17 miles to go.

Day 21

Monday 17th Aug
Alex walked around Sandy with his dad today who isn't tech savvy so no map.
Recorded on Alex watch 3 miles today. As they were dodging showers. 21 miles left.

Day 20

Sunday 16th Aug
My mum was working this morning and then it rained all afternoon. So none done today. Will try tomorrow

Day 19

Saturday 15th Aug
Alex walked 5 miles today with our very lovely neighbour and friend Alan Painter
They kept going even in the rain.

Day 18 14/8/2020

Friday 14th Aug
Alex is resting today as he did extra yesturday as he wont be able to do any today as he has physio today and that can make him sore and tired.

Day 17 extended. Another 6 miles after lunch 8 miles in total today

Thursday 13th Aug
Alex really wanted to do a big chunk after the storm this morning as he won't be able to do any tomorrow as Alex has an appointment.

Day 17

Thursday 13th Aug
Only 2 miles this morning due to the storm finally arriving. May try some more later if it stops raining and the sun comes out.

Day 16

Wednesday 12th Aug
Too hot today and Alex had  some  very important  visitors today. So a days break. Hopefully be able to do some tomorrow in between storms.

11/8/2020 Day 15

Tuesday 11th Aug
Started at 7:30 am too warm already. Stayed close to home incase the storms came. 3 miles today.

Day 14

Monday 10th Aug
A different route today. Bit more isolated through woods which was nice but downside dog poo everywhere. Alex managed to step in it twice. So dipped shoes in a stream. 5 miles done before the heat.

Day 13

Sunday 9th Aug
Day off today. Going to be hot again and also Alex has woken up very sore after unintentionally over doing it yesturday whist walking with kind families at his older brothers football.

Day 12

Saturday 8th Aug
Alex went to football training with his older brother and Dad. He went early before the heat and round a very shaded field. There was no stopping him after missing yesturday. He did several laps of the field but this time with some of the very lovely parents of his brothers team mates walking  round with him with breaks spuring him on so much he didnt realise he had done 7 miles today.

Day 11

Friday 7th Aug
Day off today. Far too hot and Alex is very sore today. Humidity doesnt help.
Carrying on tomorrow.

About half way day 10

Thursday 6th Aug
Alex did 3 in the morning  and 2 in the afternoon. Afternoon map he tried to do a pattern. 🙄

My 106 miles challenge

Monday 27th Jul
I would like to walk 106 miles over the next few weeks round my local area. This is how many miles it is from my house  to Sheffield Children's hospital. I want to raise money to thank them for all they have done for me since I was three years old and still do. Please help if you can. For those who know the difficulties I have this is a massive challenge.

Thank you to my Sponsors
