How do I fundraise?
When you register for the challenge, you will also be encouraged to set up your personal fundraising page. Once set-up you can let your family, friends, relatives, co-workers, classmates and neighbours know you are participating, share with them your fundraising goals, and ask them for a specific donation. Remember, it’s for a really good cause. You will be surprised how many will support your efforts.
What is the fundraising target?
We are asking each person to raise a minimum of £50 each. This can help make a huge difference to Sheffield Children’s Hospital. This is not a requirement but every little helps! We’ll send you a fundraising pack filled with things to help you raise your target of £50.
If you raise £50 or over then you will also receive a medal.
If you are fundraising as a team don't worry, you will get one medal per person for every £50 raised. If you are an individual and raise more than £50 you'll only get one medal.
Where will my fundraising go?
Sheffield Children’s Hospital is a specialist children’s hospital, providing world-class care for children all over Yorkshire and across the UK. The Children’s Hospital Charity makes Sheffield Children’s Hospital even better, by creating an environment built with children in mind. The newest addition is a new wing which opened in April 2018 following a £10m investment from The Children’s Hospital Charity. But that’s not the end of the story, we aren’t finished, we still need to build a better future for our children by redeveloping the Emergency Department (ED), Child Assessment Unit (CAU) and Ward 6 as well as a building a brand new Helipad.
How do I pay in my money?
Ask people to donate directly to your online fundraising page. That way the money will automatically come direct to us and you don’t have to chase anyone to collect their money (please note online fundraising pages will take an admin fee off your overall sponsorship raised). If you’ve collected cash then you can pay the money in by sending a cheque made payable to ‘The Children’s Hospital Charity’ at The Children’s Hospital Charity, Western Bank, Sheffield S10 2TH. You can also send your money in via bank transfer, please email us at [email protected] for details of how to do this. If you’re collecting offline donations please ask your supporters to fill out a Sponsorship Form and tick the Gift Aid Box, if applicable.
I already have a Just Giving Page set up for a cancelled event, can I use that?
We would encourage you to use the this Funraisin if you can. If you would like your £50 raised from this event to go towards your fundraising target for another event then just let us know and we can make sure that happens but using this platform is best for this challenge.
