Fundraising

What is Team Theo?

Team Theo is anyone who supports and fundraises for The Children’s Hospital Charity, which helps make Sheffield Children’s Hospital better. We are so happy you are joining Team Theo!

How do I fundraise?

When you register for Team Theo's Bear Miles, you will be also encouraged to set up your personal fundraising page. Once set-up you can let your family, friends, relatives, co-workers, classmates and neighbours know you are participating, share with them your fundraising goals, and ask them for a specific donation. Remember, it’s for a really good cause. You will be surprised how many will support your efforts. If fundraising pages aren’t your thing, you will receive sponsorship forms with your online fundraising pack that you can use and once you have collected in your fundraising cash, you can bring this into the charity office.

Is there a fundraising target?

There is no fundraising target, we are just asking each person to raise as much as they can.

However, if you raise £50 you will receive a Bears of Sheffield stationary set which includes a magnet, pen, pencil pot, notepad and notelet.

If you raise £100 you will receive a special Bears of Sheffield tote bag, souvenir guide and keyring.

Your fundraising can help make a huge difference to Sheffield Children’s Hospital!

Can I buy a Team Theo sports shirt to wear?

If you would like a yellow charity t-shirt, please email [email protected] after you've registered with your request.

We can send a maximum of 5 t-shirts to you, however you can purchase extra t-shirts on our online shop here for £5.

Sports shirts are also available to purchase on our online shop here for £15.

Where will my fundraising go?

Sheffield Children’s Hospital is a specialist children’s hospital, providing world-class care for children all over Yorkshire and across the UK. The Children’s Hospital Charity makes Sheffield Children’s Hospital even better, by creating an environment built with children in mind.

Your fundraising as part of the anniversary of Bears of Sheffield project help us support Sheffield Children's where it's needed most, which is currently to build a Helipad on the roof of the hospital.

Having a Helipad on the roof would save vital minutes when every second counts to get a child the urgent care they need from our Emergency Department. Currently air ambulances land in Weston Park across a usy, main road from the hopsital.

With your support we are one step closer to making our dream of building the Helipad and making the facilities at Sheffield Children's the best they can be for our patients and families.

How do I pay in my fundraising?

Ask people to donate directly to your online fundraising page. That way, the money will automatically come direct to us and you don’t have to chase anyone to collect their money. If you’ve collected cash then you can pay the money in by sending a cheque made payable to ‘The Children’s Hospital Charity’ at The Children’s Hospital Charity, Western Bank, Sheffield S10 2TH.

You can also send your money in via bank transfer. Please email us at [email protected] for our bank details.

Remember, if you’re collecting offline donations please ask your supporters to fill in a sponsorship form and tick the Gift Aid Box, if applicable.

If someone else signed you up to the event - please reference both yours and their name when handing over any offline donations.
